OK, for a second post. This has been fun.

Gadgets &- tying med. to large saltwater flies:

*Indispensable- Dyna-King Pro saltwater vise- Has rotary capability, but can
hold up to a 9/0 hook.
*Old brass wing burners- huh? make great clamps to hold the large eyes on
the fly head in place while the glue dries. Stick wing tips into a
styrofoam block to hold while drying.
*Clear mono tying thread- once head cement is applied, the wraps become
clear and the undercolors show through- matching the body scheme.
*Long-jawed scissors- indispensable for large deerhair flies for quickly
clipping large quantities of superhair into a 'shag' for taper. (One of
these days I'll spring for a pair of thinning scissors! But mine work great
for now.)
*Vinyl Cement- Inexpensive, lightweight, and softer than hard cements or
epoxy. Also flexible and thinnable for treating feathers.

If I can think of anything else, I'll add another post.
