This subject has peaked my curioisty. Now that I have an infant that we plan to take out with us fishing (Hoping I can get some fishing in)the question of safe bug repllent is of importance to me.
What would people recommend for: 1) All-purpose Bug Repellent friendly to fly lines? 2) All-round Bug Repellent safe for infants? 3) All- round Bug Repellent with Sunscreen safe for infants? The reason I ask is that I have used the Skin-So-Soft with sunscreen and even though it says it doesn't have deet - it does melt plastic...something that Avon doesn't disclose... Also for black flies, I use a New Hampshire brand White Mountain Bug Repellent. I have also used Woodman's fly dope and it stinks... I am very curious of the opinions of the listers. And of course, is there a holy grail of bug repellents?: "Safe for fly lines, safe for children, great for black flies, mosquitos, and deer flies, and available with sunscreen"
