Okay, let me put this another way ;)

It would be really handy for all the license payers on this list if the BBC
could get hold of the older versions of the realencoder for Linux. We're
hopeing to stream more and more things from remote locations using some
flashdisk based solid state linux encoding boxes I've been building (mini
dist, based on color.gz from slackware). I've got Radio's 1-4 already
streaming Surestream and we're about to lay out the architecture for G2 all
around, but before that happens it's V5 only for things like a 15fps
improvement on the 5 minute update for /nature/'s owl cam. This currently
dials a local ISP to save money and ftp's images to us, ghostcam on
/so/weird/ is a connection at 14,400 from a mobile phone and the axis240
camserver, which has cron/ppp and other such advanced abilities. If I can
find a copy of v5 encoder I'll stick Linux boxes out there for much better
fps.

I did have a copy at one point, but only as I was playing with it at home and
lost the HD that was on.

Now, can anyone help?
