Hi Video4Linux wizards,
I spent many nights trying to solve a "little" problem,
but the only result were long nights :-(
I'm sure you're able to fix it :-)
Hardware: Hauppauge WinTV Primio
BTTV version: driver of kernel 2.2.12-20.
---Background---
I'm trying to watch a NTSC tape recorded in
Extra Long Play (EP) mode.
Normally, my VCR detects NTSC and converts it to PAL.
But not if it's recorded in EP mode :-(
---The Problem---
There a two ways to watch the video.
1. PAL mode, disturbed picture, but in color!
2. NTSC mode, normal picture and b&w.
I thought of 2 ways to solve the problem:
1. Modify the NTSC mode of the bttv driver.
Wouldn't it be possible to take the color
carrier of the PAL mode for the NTSC mode?
(preferred solution)
2. Modify the PAL mode to leave out the 6
"unnecessary" frames of NTSC.
Is it possible to add a little pause?
Thanks in advance and good night, Thomas.
