You need to give me a little more to go on! ;-)
Have you tried xawtv or some other application - do you know that your
setup is working?
If you answer the all questions I asked before, then we can narrow down
your problem.
If vidrgb gave you a seg. fault, then it should have generated a core
file.
Try:
gdb vidrgb core
> backtrace
And let me know where it is that you are getting the seg. fault.
