Do you use SP or LP speed on your camera? I only use SP to reduce frame 
drops.

It's possible you are getting frame drops from the tape during capture, 
but they tend to show up differently in other programs (Vegas lists them 
as actual dropped frames rather than dumping the capture).

Just for kicks, try capturing from another program (MovieMaker, iMovie, 
etc.) and see if it's repeatable.
