Rather harsh evaluation that is not at all my experience with either Joomla 1.0 or 1.5. I have taken a different route than embedding a player like Brightcove, Blip, Vimeo, YouTube, etc. because I prefer, for various reasons, to have my videos inserted within text articles. Using my own hosting service, DreamHost, with vPIP I could place the videos in the context of the text for which they were intended with minimal latency delay. I have about 100 video clips in Joomla 1.0 on http://hestakaup.com and I am building a new site that already has a couple of dozen videos on Joomla 1.5 at http://pineplainsviews.com . I hope you will take a look at what one can do with Joomla and video to provide a rich media experience. I really have had no problems at all with the Joomla end of the videos.
