Trust me ALL legit releases of Chaplin films include his score and the WB is the "legit" version ( Film is out of copyright but this is authorized version) The estate is VERY protective of the scores and does not allow the films to be shown or released on DVD without the original scores. The Chaplin films are now being distributed through Criterion/Janus which is also releasing them on DVD. Since I don't believe they have gotten to THE KID yet, they would basically have to license you the WB DVD. Let me know if you have any problem and I can give you direct contact at the estate. I think Criterion/ Janus will be able to do it but you will have to get your own DVD as it is now out of print.
