"map Q gq" has long been part of the vimrc_example.vim. Now it is
moved to defaults.vim which vimrc_example.vim sources. So if you have
a vimrc you won't be affected, even if your own vimrc sources the
vimrc_example.vim, because in that case you already had it and will
keep it. If, like me, you don't like this mapping, you'll do what I've
long been doing: unmap Q at some point after sourcing the
vimrc_example.vim.

This mapping will, in fact, only apply to you if you were relying on
the absence of a vimrc to get a legacy-vi-like 'compatible'
environment. In that case it might be time to set up an empty exrc
file, which IIUC will also leave 'compatible' set, avoid sourcing
defaults.vim, and do nothing else.
