If it "It boots and runs well" then you already have a system disk. As the
Plus has no internal hard drive, you have to have the system (and any 
other
software on floppy disks) to even boot the machine.

The ImageWriterII is a reasonable choice for the machine. Again, the 
drivers
have to be on the disk used to boot and run the machine. Don't know about
the ImageWriter (original version). I expect it would work, but...

How do you know it doesn't already have 4MB RAM? A lot of the ones I have
run across have been up graded. If it is "original" the upgrade is cheap
as the SIMMs are a dime a dozen.

The harder thing would be to find a Basic compiler (? its been awhile!).
Basic wasn't used much on the Mac.

There are tons of sites with software for the Mac that will run on the
Plus. Look for 68K software.
