Hi David,
I have a 4400 and when I first got it, it would do what you described;
the PSU would just make clicking sounds when I tried to power it up,
and nothing else would turn on. All I did was replace the PRAM
battery, and it worked fine. I didn't check the voltages, but I know
that some macs just won't boot without the PRAM battery. I only say
this because the batteries are probably easier to find then the
PSUs :-) I don't know if they have Battery Plus stores where you are,
but that's where I went and they have a lot of different battery
types. Hope that helps,
