That is a good point.... I usually just ask for a few pictures (including one
of a serial number) before I buy something like that.

Well, I think anyone that pays that much for a really old computer would have
to be Mac fanatic regardless of where it was purchased. Ebay would be a much
safer way to buy, especially for the buyer.
Maybe I'm a cynic, but i would have a problem sending $1500 to a stranger for
something that may or may not be what he says it is. A gold plate on the back?
Seriously? A gold plate on the back?
And why would anyone want to sell something like that, if it is what he claims
it is?
Why not put it on ebay and then advise the list that it's there?
Sorry, maybe I'm too suspicious.

A couple of guesses for why he isn't selling it on ebay, another could be
that he wants to send it to someone who will actually appreciate it, not just
let it sit on a shelf... (just guessing)

Charity? Doesn't want people to bother him over ebay about working for

You should sell on eBay for that kind of money. Why come here?

I worked for Steve Jobs during 1984 and I have one of the first

Steve Jobs and has a plaque on the back. It has the original carrying
case and a few pieces of software. I would like to sell it. If anyone
is interested please make me an offer.
