I bought some software on ebay several years ago. I didn't use Paypal. I
just mailed a money order. I'm still waiting for the software. Anyway, I'll
 never again buy anything from an individual without using  Paypal.
How do you authenticate something like that? Anyone could go to an engraver
and have a gold plate made.

Would you be able to authenticate it from a serial number?
