Hi James, I all started when I tried adding the IIfx Rom Simm and the computer acted like there was not mother board, not eve looking for an OS. Then I read that you had to do a system hack to get it to work, not being very good a this I figured to try mode 32 first.
So I got it installed followed the directions, turn all but the mode 32 extensions off and I could not get it to work. Eventually it crashed so I reinstalled the OS again. So here is where I'm at I have a clean 7.5.5 Os on one hard drive and an external drive with 7.5.3. I have another SE30 runningg system 7.1 I can try putting the Rom Simm in it to see if it any good. I rather put the Rom Simm than get Mode 32 to work in so Im' going to try to follow Gamba's directions, can you help me if I get stuck along the way? It wasn't very clear to me my understanding of the Gamba site directions is to do the system patch, turn if off, put the new Rom Simm and then reboot. Is that correct? As a goal I would like to one day (and it will take a me a while) is to have the SE 30 with a Daystar accelerator running system 8 whit 128mb of Ram. Thanks for the response Abel On Mon, Apr 20, 2009 at 2:30 AM, <[email protected]> wrote: > > Abel, you cannot use Mode32 when you have a IIfx or IIsi ROM in your > SE/30. I speak from experience.
