Can you physically rotate the disk a bit? Sometimes this works.

Subject: HELP! .... I'm a vintage mac Noob!

Hi People. Long time listener, first time poster.

I am the proud owner of a few vinatge mac's. I have a couple of Mac
Classics, a Perfroma 250, an SE and even a 512. Between all these systems,
I have ONE set of disks that came with one of them.

Being a "PC Guy", I thought I would be able to easily format & reinstall a
couple of these macs... but i'm rapidly getting no where. I have a set of
System 7 install disks, however, the very FIRST floppy, is corrupted. All
the other floppies are fine in any of these macs, except the first one - the
crutial, first, Install Disk 1. Its dead. I'm not having much luck finding
anywhere to download Floppy Images online, nor know of anyone or anywhere to
get new install disks.

Ideas? Pointers? Any help appreciated.

Thanks.
Aaron.
