What IS difficult to come by is a license, as IBM won't license A/IX anymore. At one point in time, UCLA had an archive of darn near anything related to A/IX, but it is probably gone by now. There is one example of a prototype dual processor card out there. It may be possible to fit one of those cache socket-type G3 cards to the ANS, as the cache card in the ANS was essentially the same card as used in several PowerMac models. The ANS has an A-AUI 10 Mbps half-duplex E-net connection on its mobo, but PCI 10/100 Mbps full-fuplex E-net cards were often used instead. The correct E-net card for the ANS is one of those which are based on the DEC "Tulip" chip. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Vintage Macs group.
