The WGS95, a variation of the Quadra 950, could boot Unix, but it was a two-level booting process, not unlike the multiple-level booting process which has been used -- and is being used -- to boot MacOS X on non-Apple platforms, which, in turn was initially a copy of that which Apple used on its developer version of MacOS X. I have two WGS95s and there is no indication that it is different from the basic 950, except for the presence of parity memory and a proprietary SCSI card in the WGS95. -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
