FWIW: the Apple ][e card for the LC's can only run in 24 bit addressing mode. 
System 7.6-8.1 did away with the 24 bit addressing mode in the memory control 
panel. So I would recommend 7.5.5 as the highest OS version on LCs with an 
Apple ][e card. Good luck.
