Well, for all you guys nay-saying the worth of the LC type computers with the Apple IIe Cards, looks like my original estimation of expecting about $50-$150 wasn't too far off!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290428382898&ssPageNa me=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_1231wt_1161 This guy sold one that will be less equipt than most of mine for $138.50 plus $13.90 shipping. Again, not that I'll make a profit on it, but at least I can recover some of my costs in this. I intend to have my pizza box 68k macs reconditioned with a clean case, new capacitors, new system, apple IIe Card (and hopefully a cable for it) and possibly offer options of drives/joysticks with them maybe. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Sterling Jacobson Sent: Friday, April 30, 2010 11:26 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Need some opinions on a few projects I'm working on (LONG) Yeah, you are probably right about the computers. I've looked around a while and the cards alone are worth about $50, but most don't include the cable! I've picked up 11 of these units from the list, ebay and other means and only one of them had the cable.... Is that what everyone else is seeing, or am I missing something? _____ From: [email protected] on behalf of Todd - Sent: Fri 4/30/2010 9:53 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Need some opinions on a few projects I'm working on (LONG) The Apple IIe cards with dongle are worth about 50.00 but not the computers On Fri, Apr 30, 2010 at 9:29 AM, WhyOSX <[email protected]> wrote: >I've got a collection of LC type systems (quadras, performas, LC's >etc) all 68k based that I want to set up with the Apple IIE cards and >fix up to sell. >What would be the marketability of these machines do you think? Sorry to have to tell you, but these are One-Dollar-Computers (maybe up to ten), getting $ 50-150 does not seem possible to me. I know how the the prices were in the early and mid Nineties - it hurts. -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
