hi;

do not know about the 'red' CD
i would suspect if the CD has about 40-50mb of software on it is a complete install to update to 7.5.5

a complete install copy of a 7.5.3 CD has 40+ mb
and the update 7.5.5 has about 22 mb in it.

on installing 7.5.5 the apple site has the software available.

http://www.info.apple.com/support/oldersoftwarelist.html

full software is at

Macintosh/System/Older_System/System_7.5_Version_7.5.3/System_7.5.3_01of19.smi.bin

19 parts

then apply the 7.5.5 update

I happen to have a red Macintosh Restore CD with 7.5.5, it boots up in my 550, will this install 7.5.5 on this machine with the restore system feature?
