on 7.5.5 the display to make the time/day appear is at :
control panels --> date & time (lower right hand)
on installing 7.5.5 the apple site has the software available.

full software is at
Macintosh/System/Older_System/System_7.5_Version_7.5.3/System_7.5.3_01of19.smi.bin
19 parts
then apply the 7.5.5 update

I cant seem to get my clock to display in the menu bar on my 550 Mac
