I'm starting to wonder if the platters in the hard drive are losing
it's life and ready to give up the ghost. Also, if the floppy drive
was used "alot" in it's life, the heads could be ready to go, too.
Even the internal transistors and other electronic doo-dads on the
motherboard have a finite lifespan, and of course, tin whiskers could
develop.
