While it's obviously not geared to OS 8, system7today.com has some good
tips about running legacy browsers with today's Internet. I don't know if
there is an equivalent site for OS 8.

I also second the mobile site idea. I use them frequently even on modern
computers, since the sites render almost instantly; it also circumvents
Timeline on Facebook, which is a big perk for some of my friends.
