Thanks for your reply!

There are two issues here, I do live in the United States instead of Canada, and frankly, $649.00 is a little steep for my budget.

I was interested if there was such a thing as an omnidirectional scanner that would make the I Phone work with digit eyes or some other bar code scanning program as well as the En Vission america product does with it's bar coe scanner.

A blue tooth wireless scanner would really be great!

Hi Steve,

IF you bought them through me, I'd double check to be sure, but I think the standard one would be $649.99, and the I version would be $699.99. They should be cheeper than that by all rights, and if you live outside canada you could do better almost certainly, but there is a raft of politics threatening my profit margin and of course, when that happens the cost get's passed on. The kdc300 are bluetooth communicating barcode scanners. They are omni-directional. They are a little bigger than a pack of gum with two buttons on the side for controlling the unit. They both make very loud beeping signals to alert you to the goings on of the unit. The I is two way communicating between the scanner and the IOS device, where-as the standard only sends information from the scanner to the IoS device. I'm not sure what the benefit to digit-eyes users would be if any. Presumably the I version also has an IOS app for showing device status and so on.

If you are serious I would be happy to arrange a demo for you. Let me know off list, and I will also double check to see if I can get that price down for you as well.

What is the prices of these two scanners and what are their differences? Are they omnii-directional and do they plug in to the I phone doc?

Thanks.

Hi, I tried redlaser on the ITouch and it's only just OK. For the IPad or ITouch I recommend the koamtac kdc300 barcode scanner or the kdc300I. One of my clients bought one of these through me just after nancy recommended it. The price is a bit steep, but what it will do for the speed and accuracy of your barcode scans can't be beat. It's very small and light and in my mind, a perfect fit for any IOS device. I might even do a podcast on it once the new IOS devices arrive to go along with the scanner.
