Mark, I'm curious what you mean by the "Clear all section buttons in the notification area continue to function normally." I don't know what you mean by normal but the buttons to clear sectional notifications in this area haven't worked for me since iOS 8 came out. If they're working for you, I'd love to know what the trick is to get them to do so.
