I'm not sure about the last part of your question, but to use it in a car you'd: 1. Type in the destination you're riding to in the search field, which then brings up a "go" button. Tap that, and at the top of the screen, in the middle is where you select voice navigation. 2. Listen to to the directions as you're driving 3. Upon arriving at your destination,tap menu, then "clear map", so it won't keep talking
