Hi alan, The analog clock faces include seconds, and the digital ones don't.
You can use quite a few functions without the phone, such as the stopwatch and timer, and the clock. If your watch is in the vicinity of a Wi-Fi network you have connected to with your phone, it can connect to that network to do things like notifications and iMessage.
