Assuming the “it” you are talking about is AIPoly, did you give it permission to use the camera?
If you toggle VoiceOver off while using the app, it speaks with its own voice, or rather the iPhone’s own voice. Otherwise, you have to get the VoiceOver focus on the spot just about the toggle AIPoly button so VoiceOver can read the information.
