Hi Michael,

Enabling family sharing in no way means you ar "joining" your iTunes accounts.
Some people in fact use the same dedicated Apple Id for iTunes and the app
store and then use separate, individual accounts for iCloud, iMessage, Facetime
etc. The nice thing about family sharing is that this is not necessary any
longer. You enable it, add the other person and you then have access to all the
apps your wife purchased and vice versa.
If., for example, I go to the "Updates" tab in the App Store and tap on
"Purchases" I then have to tap either on "My purchases" to see the purchases I
made wit my Apple Id or I can tap on "Jackie", my wife, to see the purchases
she made and I can download any of them.
Maybe somebody knows of disadvantages with this, I haven't come across any.

Regards,
Sieghard

Hey Sieghard. We have quite different tastes in apps and she's a bit wary of
joining our iTUNES accounts in any way. Haven't heard from many people at all
who actually use it. Jonathan Mosen's the only one who comes to mind.
