David, Yes it does bring focus, but also crashes VO. Of course pressing the router button should perform the action which is to take you to that location where the link points. Bringing up a menu would sort of defeat the purpose. If the link took you to an external site that would make sense, but in this case these are links that are internal to the book itself and take you to a specific page, chapter, etc. So, maybe all this will be addressed in iOS 6. :)
