You can press a button on screen or use the power/lock button or either volume button to turn the alarm off. If you have turned on snooze for the alarm, you will either have to go into the alarm tab of the clock app or use Siri to turn off your alarm. Remember to turn it back on again so that it happens the next day or time it is set.
