Hi, Alan, I still also have my iPhone 6+ and I thought the same as you do about having the same Apple ID on both phones. However, I did go into each app to set up notifications again and now I am getting them on my new iPhone 7+ but as I said previously, I don't get the spoken notifications on the locked screen. All I get on the locked screen is the tri-tone alert that a notification has been received. Hope this helps.
