Todd, they are useless to you. I happen to use Health, home, and entertainment.
Just because they are useless because you don’t use them, shouldn’t mean you can make blanket statements like the one you used. I said that most of the apps like Home, Health, Stocks, and Entertainment are simply useless. Therefore, you are missing something. Yes, you have the wrong impression that I want them all gone. Not true! That is why I said Apple is really screwed up anyway. They do not know what they are thinking. they just like to throw a lot of stuff at us for nothing. That is it. I don't use it much either. But I don't have to mess with it if I don't want to. You seem to think that they should do everything just because you wanted that way. That is a whole lot of entitlement coming for one guy. Now that so many apps can be deleted there are very few that go on that page. Stocks and iBooks are two examples, both can be deleted but I keep them just because occasionally a PDF needs to open in iBooks or I may in fact want to know how a particular stock is doing. This way they are out of the way where I never need to go which to me is even better than putting them into a folder which I then have on a home page I do use. I wouldn’t even call this bloatware, apart from essential apps there are only a few which can’t be deleted. Yes, Health is one of them, for me that is OK because I use it frequently and I’m pretty sure quite a few of us on this list do use it on a pretty regular bases as many of us have compatible devices like scales or blood pressure monitors etc. Anyhow, judging from the responses I have seen it would that only one person has a real issue with the fact that there are maybe 2 or 3 apps which can’t be deleted, as Christopher said, if we start getting into minor details like that .there must be very few major ones. Move them into a folder as I’ve done with the apps I don’t use. You can tell Apple accessibility all you want, but it doesn’t change the fact you are a single user and there are millions of others who make use of the apps you or I may not consider important or useful. Apple is far from the only company who unfortunately has what might be called bloatware on their systems. I agree with you that it would be nice to have the ability to delete some apps, but I also understand why this isn’t the case. Thus, again, that’s why you can create folders. Take Care John D. Health can indeed not be deleted and so far I found that apps like Phone, Messages, Settings, Camera, Health, App Store, Photos/Videos and a few others can’t be deleted as they are pretty crutial to iOS core functionality. Home, however, can be deleted, I just tested it since I didn’t have anything in it right now and it goes away. If you can't deal with that by putting them on the last page of your device into a folder that you may name trash or whatever, I suggest you get an android and see if you like that any better. This is such a non-issue. Just move the damn things where you don't have to look at them and forget about it. Why is that hard? Yes, y’all need to understand that. That is what Apple Inc. fails to realize. Also, Health app does not show “activate” or “Arranging apps”. What kind of thing is that? Use your common sense! That is all I can say now. Thanks, Todd -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
