Jen, you have to do the 6 taps very quickly. If that doesn't resolve it, do a full hard reset. Hold the home and power buttons down for about 10 seconds, and the phone will reboot completely. Jonathan

This should give you a reset. It won't change anything on your phone but should unfreeze the screen. Someone told me to do that once and it worked when I had to do it. All my apps etc are there but the click sound that happens when you go between items isn't working and when I just touch something slightly something else opens.
