Earlier, richard sent a message noting that if you delete all of the open apps from the app switcher, it reverts back to the home screen. I just did this on my iPad mini two, and it did not revert to the home screen. In fact, nothing showed up except for the status bar at the top of coarse, and maybe something else but it wasn't the home screen. The only way to get the grid of apps that is the home screen to show was to press the home button, just like it used to be under iOS 10. I don't know if this is a function of the fact that my iPad mini 2 it's old and lacking in resources. But for whatever reason, after I deleted my last app from the app switcher, the icon grid of the home screen did not reappear without me pressing the home button. Mary
