It is a dead bolt. On the outside, there is a touch screen keypad. I put a bump dot on 5 for when I do not have my phone with me. I put packing tape on the handle lock so it would not accidentally get locked. The deadbolt is a single key/touch screen on the outside. The inside has a lock which you rotate 90 degrees to unlock from the inside, or use siri.
