one I personally like, is the line6 sonic port vx. it's app is reasonable, and has a handy monitoring feature, so that you can set the parameters for the recording, and know how they will sound. it also has a hardware level control, and a lead, so that you can still use your case with out it getting in the way. it can be held, or mounted on a standard mic stand, as required. the one drawback from my point of view, is that there doesn't seem to be a wind cover available for it, so it isn't the best choice for field work.
