The IQ6 allows me to use the VoiceOver Volume adjustment in the rotor just fine so I'm not doing damage to my hearing, grin. I always do a sample recording to make sure the level is OK, before doing anything serious. I find that about halfway on the gain knob tends to be fine. Richard
