Anna, I don't know what this is worth but I had bookmarked a couple of AT&T web pages back in 2015 when I was getting my then iPhone 5 unlocked. One of the pages was an unlock status page and the other was an unlock request page. I now get a not found error when I attempt to go to either of these pages so something certainly seems to have changed with locked phones in the AT&T universe. You might try calling AT&T Customer Service at (888) 757-6500.
