If you bought it from apple at full price then very likely unlocked. The locked phones are usually the ones you buy from the carrier at a subcidized price and tied to a contract with the carrier. You can tell if it is unlocked or not by inserting in it a sim card of a different carrier, if it took it then it is unlocked.

Hi all,

Is there a way to find out whether a phone is unlocked or not? I bought mine from Apple last fall, specifying AT&T as the carrier. It's an iPhone X. I seem to remember hearing that these phones came unlocked, but I'm not sure. I'd rather not have to do the restore from backup if it's not necessary.

Best,
Anna
