Unfortunately, the Uber app does not have a way of giving this information
to drivers by default so, I do the following. I went into keyboard
shortcuts
and created a phrase that when I type in certain letters on the keyboard’s
expands to read the following:
I am blind which means I cannot see you. I will be waiting outside to make
myself visible to you. I am a tall man with a long white cane, when you
arrive, please let me know that you’re here to pick me up by either
approaching me or calling me. Thank you.
Once I have a driver assigned to my trip, I send that message to the
driver
and most the time it has been quite helpful.
