The iPhone X will be replaced by a new model most likely called the iPhone XS
and there is talk that there will also be a larger iPhone XS Plus model
probably with a 6.5 inch screen instead of the 5.8 inch screen of the iPhone X
and upcoming XS.
There will most likely also be another new and less expensive iPhone which
maybe called the iPhone 9 which is rumoured to have a 6.1 inch LCD screen.
My guess is that the iPhone X from last year will definitely be discontinued
and that some of the iPhone 8/8 Plus models and probably the iPhone 7 wil stick
around as the new lower cost models.
If you buy a new device a week or even a month before the next major
announcement and release of the new phones then that is what happens and since
you bought an iPhone X I assume you wanted the latest and greatest which next
week will still be pretty good, but not quite the latest and greatest any more
and in terms of price the new iPhone XS will probably cost exactly what you
paid for your iPhone X, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Apple has
released new phones in September for at least 6 or 7 years.

Regards,
Sieghard

Hi,
I heard that they’re going to drop the iphone x, and I just got one.

Is this true?

Thanks,
Jessica

Craig,
With the announcement from Apple next Wednesday regarding all of the new
hardware you may just want to sit tight. First off the price may drop even
lower than $100, but as Apple announces new products they also roll existing
products into end of support and end of life. If Apple stays consistent iOS 12
will probably be the last version that will run on the iPhone 6 and probably
the SE since they are basically the same hardware just in a different form
factor. That being said the iPhone 7 will probably drop in price as it will
technically be the 4th oldest version after the 9/12 announcement.

Craig, I made that same upgrade last year and have been very happy with the

Subject: Seeking Advice on Upgrading from iPhone 5 to iPhone SE

Hello, everyone.

I am considering replacing my iPhone with an iPhone SE since my carrier is
offering the latter for $100. I don't want a phone with lots of bells and
whistles, but I would like one that runs iOS 11X, which the iPhone does not
allow. Are there compelling reasons why I should not upgrade to the SE?
Thanks for any advice.

Craig
