To be clear, a braille watch really is a misnomer. Be it a clock or watch,
you're talking more about simple tactile markers. There's no braille involved.
Markings at every hour and a bigger/different marking at the 12, 3, 6 and 9
o'clock locations. They're just referred as braille watches I guess to convey
that they're meant for the blind. I believe a couple of "smart watches" for the
blind that incorporates Braille into them have come out, but that's a totally
separate deal.
The Bradley watch works a bit different since it uses ball barings to indicate
the time, but again, you tell the time by markings. No braille.
The XR is fine. I don't really care for Face ID, but oh well. Tomato/tommato.

Thanks
Cristóbal:

I am not very good at braille. I can just turn the volume down on my phone and
slip it under my pillow. The pillow mutes the sound and I can hear the time
announce without disturbing my hubby.

So, as I understand it, just tapping the power button on the 10R would announce
the time whether it was locked or not.

Thanks for all of your help.

Bye the way, how do the owners of the 10r like it compared to the 7?
