I am sorry to say this, but if you know your password for your Apple Id and
enter it correctly it will not refuse it; if it does you either enter it
incorrectly or remember it incorrectly and all it takes is to capitalize one
single letter or not capitalize it whatever the case may be.
If you can't successfully enter your Apple Id password you may want to reset it
because sooner or later you will need this password. As you said, you might
want to buy a certain app or maybe in a year or two you get a new iPhone, but
it is extremely likely you will at some point need it. ?As fir being prompted
for it and being annoyed by it that is also one reason to get this resolved. If
you did enter it correctly once it will stop doing this, but if you continue to
say "Not now" then it won't.

Joshua! I am not tethered to my iPhone as many others seem to be, and, only
use it for playing one or two games and reading audio books that I download
from the library, but I do empathise with you re your frustrations.
Regarding the repeated request/demands that we enter our Apple password when
there is not the least reason for us having to do so; in many cases, you can
just one finger double tap on "Not now" and you can go on doing whatever you
were doing!
However, like you, I cannot download any apps from the store as it refuses,
point blank, to accept my password which, to the very best of my knowledge, is
100% correct.

Hi to all. How do I unsubscribe from this list. I never should have gotten an
iPhone in the first place. I don't want to take the time to learn how to type
on the stupid keyboard on the screen. I hate the idea of having to type in my
apple ID when I want to download an app.
Stupid security. My flip phone was so much easier. I could just turn it on
and it would power up and away I would go. No having to type in my stupid pass
code to unlock my phone. I never should have let that article I read about
seeing AI influence my decision to get an iPhone.
On Monday I'm contacting apple to see about getting it returned and most of my
money back. With apple care and the cost of my phone, I spent almost $1000. I
could have bought a great desktop computer for that much money and it has a
real keyboard on it.
