iTunes hasn't used the sync method for ringtones since iOS 12 I think. You connect your phone to the computer, open iTunes and select your phone when the button shows up. Tab to the list of items where it defaults to summary, and arrow down to tones. tab over to the list of tones. Now, using File explorer or whatever it is on a mac, and select your ringtone files, that should be m4r format and I guess 30 seconds or less in length, copy it, alt-tab to itunes and paste and you should hear the tones that indicate iTunes has done something. The tone should now be on your phone. I'm sure there are more clear directions out there, but that gets the idea across I hope. HTH, Richard
