In looking at the Speechify app, it has in-app purchases, which can be done as 
a monthly, yearly, at various price points.
It must have a free trial period, so deleting it is your best option to avoid 
such a expensive app that a VoiceOver user certainly wouldn't need.
So you should be fine.

Yes, I finally did get this mess resolved.  I googled steps how to manage my 
subscriptions for my phone, as I just couldn't remember how to do this, as it 
has been quite some time since I've done this.  I got the same instructions 
from the Apple web site, and I finally remembered oh yes, this is how I did 
this before.  I followed the instructions to see if that 139.99 app was in my 
subscriptions, but I didn't see it there at all, in which I was relieved, but 
still a little concerned.  I then called Apple Accessibility to ask them if 
there was another way I might check my subscriptions just to be for sure I was 
doing it right, and the Apple rep gave me the exact same instructions that I 
already got from their web site, so because I didn't see the app in the 
subscriptions, I deleted the 139.99 app off my phone!  LOL!  So, I am hoping 
all is well, meaning I won't be charged 139.99 for that app.  The name of the 
app as far as I could tell was Speech a fi, an app is text to speech app, that 
is all I know about that app though, and hope to never see it again!  LOL!  I 
also finally purchased the Voice Dream Reader app, as well as the Voice Dream 
Scanner, although, I just haven't had the time yet to play around with either 
apps.  I will also copy and paste in a separate email the instructions to check 
or manage subscriptions, just in case someone else might need them, or maybe 
just to keep them on hand, in case they run in to a problem like I did!  Smile!

I accidentally downloaded the wrong app last night, as I was trying to download 
the voice dream Reader app.  Can someone please tell me how I can cancel this 
download-subscription? I went in to the app Store app, the update tab, my 
account, I tapped my account, and went down to manage subscriptions, as I 
usually did when I wanted to cancel a subscription, but now, I don't find the 
option to manage subscriptions, and if I tap on my Apple id, I get a message 
saying I need to enter my password.  So, I tried to enter it a few times, I 
then got a message saying wrong password. So after trying to enter the 
password, now, I get a message asking me if I want to reset my password.  I 
really don't want to go through all that just to cancel a subscription, but I 
have only until Dec 29-19, or I will have to pay 139.99.
I'm using iPhone xr with iOS 12.4.1.
