Hi Kawal, Well, this one is beyond me. If I go to the Messages app and start a text message for example to one of my employees who has an iPhone as well, the message automatically goes as an iMessage.
I just had a look at the Messages settings and if you go into where it says "Send and Receive, 2 addresses" button you do have various options. By the way, I just used "2 addresses" as an example, if you had your mobile number and 1 email address associated iwith iMessages, it would say "2 addresses". Anyhow, in this area you do have a heading "Start new conversations from" and here my mobile number along with the email addresses I have associated are listed. In my case my mobile number says "selected" and I assume that I could select one of my email addresses and then it would show as the default "from" address. Maybe check to see if your mobile number is selected here.
