Gordon, I'm not sure the FlickType default settings after this latest round of updates still automatically adds new manually entered words to your dictionary. I know when I was checking my latest settings in the FlickType container app that the automatically add to dictionary was turned off.

Once the name has been entered once manually, it will stay in your dictionary. In the future if you're going to type that same name in the middle of a sentence, do the two finger single tap and type the word and select the name from the choices.
