hi Robin: Is this a recent upgrade to the echo dot? I didn’t think it was possible to talk to the door without an echo show or an echo spot. I know you will get an alert, but don’t think you can have two way communication without a screen device.
I got a ring doorbell about a year ago, and had to upgrade to an echo spot to get two way communication to the doorbell.
