Hi Fazil,

If you have a dual SIM phone and one of your providers supports eSIM then yes,
you could activate service with 1 number from, for example, Telus here in
Canada using eSIM and then buy a Rogers Nano SIM which would come with a
different number and use it at the same time.
I don’t have a dual SIM phone, but I assume you could have one ringtone for one
number and a different ringtone for the other number.
There is of course the question why you would want to do this and pay for 2
cell plans which would get pretty expensive unless you are employed somewhere
and your employer pays for one plan, then you could have a single phone for
both work and private use. I have my own business and while it would be nice to
have a dedicated business cell number, I think I’d be to cheap to pay for 2
plans.

Subject: the poop from Apple about the new SE sim card

Technically, the SE first generation and second generation take the same size
SIM card.
However, the new SIM cards are much faster, so Apple recommends getting a new
SIM card with the new phone.
I was told by an Apple staff person that I could set up the new phone with the
old SE SIM, but should then get a new SIM card as the performance will be much
better.
And, the new SE is a Dual SIM phone; as in one physical SIM and one eSIM just
like the 11 and xs/xr phones if your carrier supports the eSIM.
